Hearing Therapy

Hearing Therapy

Facts: 10 million people(approx.) in the UK are affected by hearing loss (1 in 6). 6.5 million of these are aged 60 and over and 3.7 million are of working age. Around 2 million people use hearing aids. About 800,000 are severely or profoundly deaf. Many people with hearing loss also have tinnitus. So, you are not alone.

Our highly qualified Hearing Therapist, Penny Stannard, can offer support and helpful ways in which to cope with a hearing loss, ensuring you can live your life to the full. With over 20 years experience in hearing loss and Tinnitus management, Penny provides a wealth of knowledg. We often see clients that have recently been told they have a hearing loss, and they are unsure of where to turn or how to cope going forward. She has helped thousands of clients in the NHS and privately to continue to lead a fulfilled and happy life by offering tailor made therapy sessions.

Whether your hearing loss is sudden or has been gradual, Penny welcomes every client and gives them the tools to help them move forward. This is not something that you need to face alone, and she can help you see that with the right support and coping mechanisms, life can be a more manageable place.

What happens in an appointment?

Penny will greet you and start by talking you through the process and finding out about your concerns. She will find out a bit more about your concerns and what you would like help with, and create a plan of action going forward to help you feel more in control.

Hearing therapy sessions last 60 minutes and the client can choose how many they have, so even if you are seen once, or over a period of months, Penny will be able to guide you through the whole process in our clean and comfortable clinic locations.

She has a kind, empathetic approach so clients can feel right at ease in opening up and, together, you and Penny can find a suitable way to help alleviate the situation so you can move forward.
