If any of the above applies to you then we can help with a free hearing test, whether your hearing loss is sudden or gradual, you can book an appointment with our Audiologists who can complete the test and explain the results to you fully-no jargon!

These results are then yours to keep, you may decide to go elsewhere for your hearing aids or we can speak to you about next options with us.

Due to our team having worked in the NHS and in the private sector, they can provide non-bias advice there and then on which is the best path for you to go down.

What happens in an appointment?

You will be greeted by our friendly Audiologist, who will guide you through the process below:

We take a full ear history and ask you about any difficulties you are having with your hearing
Full examination of both ear canals and ear drums with our Otoscope
Explanation to client of how our ears work (if appropriate)
Explanation if Eustachian Tube Dysfunction (ETD) is found
Full hearing test in one of our professional booths
Tympanometry if appropriate and advice on techniques/manoeuvres to improve ear functionality
Advice on findings and discuss options, including free hearing aid trials or a yearly hearing test follow up, whatever you need, we are here.

Appointments take around 60+ minutes so we can give you our full attention and the whole process will be explained to you by a friendly NHS trained Audiologist, so if you are nervous or unsure on what to expect, don't worry, you are in good hands.

We also have a whole range of accessories that can be bought from our clinics including: carry cases with a firm protective shell, olive oil spray to keep your ears free of wax for a comfortable fit, battery packs with different sizes available and tubes of lubricant to make fitting easier.

Hearing Aid Aftercare

At The Private Ear Clinic and Southern Audiology Solutions, we offer great aftercare plans with the sale of our hearing aids. We offer free follow ups for life, discounted wax removal, battery supplies (often included for the first year) great warrenty options and always a friendly smile.

CANNOT FAULT THE CARE AND ATTENTION

"Cannot fault the care and attention given by the audiologist/ microsuction practitioner Emma Smith, (at their Bournemouth clinic on Mondays) whose attention to detail, understanding and friendly nature made for relaxed appointments each visit. Everything was clearly explained and at no time did I feel pressureized to purchase new hearing aids from them following an initial hearing test appointment. However I did, their prices were very competitive to high street outets, but it was the attention to giving optimal hearing that swung it. I had several visits 1) ears cleaned, (this was an extra charge) & having read their literature decided on a pair to buy, I was given a sample to wear for 2 weeks 2) adjustments to sound levels as required 3) reassement of sample aids levels and readjustment to suit my lifestyle, inner ear moulds made for new aids 4) the purchased pair given & adjusted to required volume levels 4) follow up of new hearing aids usability. Superb service. I have no hesitatation recommending this company."
